We have a need for a Cardiovascular Surgery and Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner in Dover, Delaware that is open to licensing in Delaware. Covering 4 weekday shifts plus weeknight/weekend call starting January 2026 for 3 - 6 months. Must have experience with chest tube placement and skilled in open and endoscopic vein harvest.
Job Responsibilities
CVSICU Post op patient resuscitation, nursing and patient calls from home, weekend inpatient rounding, responding to stat consults/change in clinical status, emergent OR cases.
Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery, must be EVH capable. CVSICU, floor management, inpatient consults, outpatient office coverage
Patient Encounters - 10 - 20 Per Shift
Support - Surgeons, Fellow APCS, Nursing
EMR - Epic
Qualifications
BLS, ACLS
Working Hours
Call Schedule - 1 - 2 weekday calls/week - Mon - Thur 7P - 7A and 1 in 3 weekends Fri 7P - Mon 7A.
