Indiana University Health's Adult Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery team is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team at Methodist Hospital in Downtown Indianapolis!

The Plastic Surgery Practice is a growing and dynamic practice that serves a variety of patients, primarily focused on cancer reconstruction, but also serving patients with body contouring, wound, gender affirmation, and other general plastics cases.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, Day Shift
    • 7:00am - 5:00pm, Tuesday - Friday
    • No weekends, holidays, or call
  • 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient
  • Practice serves 3 primary patient populations: Breast Cancer/Reconstruction, Gender Affirming Surgery and General Plastics - Body Contouring and Wound.
  • Work directly with 3-4 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre and post op care, as well as new patients consults in a clinic setting
  • Assist nursing staff with patient triage, phone calls, and prescription refills
  • Update surgeons on patients' status
  • Perform clinic procedures such as tissue expansions, Kenalog injections, point-of-care ultrasound, seroma aspirations, wound debridement, and general wound care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree required
  • ACNP, FNP or PA certification required
  • If new graduate, clinical rotation in surgery/surgical background required
  • 1 year APP experience in Surgery/Surgical Subspecialties is preferred
  • Previous experience seeing patient autonomously in the outpatient setting preferred

Hospital Overview
