IU Health Ball Physicians has an opportunity for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established and knowledgeable General Surgery team at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN.
Opportunity Details
- Full Time, Day Shift
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- No Call
- Join a team of 7 Physicians and 4 APPs
- 70% inpatient / 30% outpatient
Key responsibilities
- Initially, inpatient trauma and acute surgical patients; position will evolve to include clinic post-op/follow up patients.
- Expected patient volume close to 50-60/week inpatient, outpatient volume TBD
- Simple bedside procedures
Qualifications
- Master's Degree required.
- Must be ACNP, ANP, FNP or PA Board Certified
- Must have at least 1 year of inpatient APP experience
- Ideal experience as a Hospitalist or in Surgery
- Ideal candidates embody the values of IU Health and have strong communication and critical thinking skills

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is a 379-bed hospital and is designated as a level 3 trauma center. It is both a teaching hospital and a regional tertiary referral center. Over the last decade, the hospital has undergone a $130 million remodel and currently serves over 82,700 patients daily.
