Qualifications for a Nurse Practitioner

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license (or eligible) in Ohio

  • National board certification (AANP or ANCC; aligned with patient population)

  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred for some settings)

  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain, if prescribing is required)

  • Strong assessment skills, patient communication, and comfort managing common acute and chronic conditions
