Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Hospital-Based Behavioral Health

You’ll work side by side with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to care for patients in psychiatric and at-risk settings. What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders in collaboration with physicians
• Complete comprehensive assessments, including health history, risk factors, family and psychosocial context, cultural factors, and physical exams
• Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatment plans as patients’ needs evolve
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests, and consult with other clinicians when needed
• Offer individual and group therapy
• Educate patients and families on medications, mental health conditions, and wellness
• Support discharge planning and coordinate care between visits, including triaging patient calls and messages
• Link patients and families with community resources and case management
• Take part in quality reviews, chart reviews, staff education, and clinical guideline development
• Document care accurately and uphold patient confidentiality and advocacy

What You’ll Bring:

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Nursing
• 5+ years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome
• Strong knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
• Excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills
