Job description
A hospital in Western Massachusetts is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its inpatient adult psychiatry team.
Work alongside an attending psychiatrist on a 16-bed general adult psychiatric unit, with a typical APP census of approximately eight patients. Enjoy close physician collaboration, daytime hours with some flexibility, and additional compensation for call.
Position Highlights
- Base salary: $140,000–$160,000
- Daily schedule: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with some flexibility
- Typical APP census: approximately eight patients, with the unit’s census shared with the attending psychiatrist
- 16-bed general adult inpatient unit
- Full benefits and paid time off
- Collaborative approach to psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and discharge coordination
Additional Compensation for Call
- NP weeknight call: $250 per night, taken from home
- Weekend coverage: $1,500 per day / $3,000 per weekend
- Call rotation approximately every four to six weeks, with opportunities to discuss more or less coverage based on preference and team needs
Seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with psychiatry experience and eligibility for Massachusetts licensure. Inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.
