Job description
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for inpatient behavioral health locum coverage in Fort Wayne, Indiana, starting October 19, 2026.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Inpatient Behavioral Health
- Monday–Friday with rotating weekends
- No call
- Youth and/or adult patient population
- New and established patients
Patient Volume
- Up to 20 patients
- Caseload up to 20
Clinical Responsibilities
- Inpatient psychiatric rounding
- Psychiatric medication management
- Participate in treatment teams
- Manage psychiatric medications
- Provide care for youth and/or adult behavioral health patients
Team & Support
- Chief Medical Officer
- Other Nurse Practitioners
- Provider does not work completely solo
Requirements
- PMHNP
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- BLS required
- Relevant experience accepted in lieu of fellowship
- Suboxone certification not required
Practice Details
- WellSky EMR
- Same EMR throughout the facility
- No trauma designation
