Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in Coralville, Iowa. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care services, conduct mental health evaluations, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications for patients experiencing a variety of mental health conditions. Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, screenings, and diagnostic testing.
Diagnose and treat a variety of mental health disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
Educate patients and family members regarding psychiatric conditions, medications, and available treatment options.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
Board Certification (BC) required.
Active BLS Certification required.
Active DEA Registration required.
Minimum of 1 year of PMHNP experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills.
Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
