We are expanding our group and have an opening to support our fast-growing patient population near the beautiful Space Coast beaches, supporting a great patient population from expanding commercial employers related to Space, to retiring veterans and patients who love the sun and warmth of beautiful Florida. We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner in our Urology department for outpatient follow-up and care management to join our growing team of world class professionals. We are Cleveland Clinic connected, a network of 650+ providers who will be your support arm in providing state of the art care.
The Behavioral Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of behavioral health conditions across the lifespan. Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, the APRN promotes Parrish Healthcare's mission of providing Healing Experiences for Everyone All the Timeยฎ through compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
The APRN assesses, diagnoses, treats, and monitors patients with mental health conditions, develops individualized treatment plans, prescribes medications in accordance with Florida law and organizational protocols, and collaborates with physicians, therapists, community agencies, and care partners to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

You will work directly with the hiring manager. All travel related to on-site interviews will be booked and compensated
Qualifications
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health assessments, including mental status examinations and risk assessments.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic behavioral health conditions utilizing DSM criteria and evidence-based practices.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe, adjust, and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
Provide medication education and counseling to patients and families.
Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify plans of care as clinically indicated.
Monitor for medication efficacy, side effects, adverse reactions, and compliance.
Perform crisis intervention and assess suicide, homicide, and safety risks.
Coordinate care transitions and follow-up services as needed.
Patient and Family Education
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and available community resources.
Promote wellness, prevention, recovery, and self-management strategies.
Support patient engagement and adherence to treatment plans.
Care Coordination
Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, therapists, social workers, care managers, and other healthcare professionals.
Facilitate referrals to specialty services, community agencies, and support programs.
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning.
Documentation and Compliance
Complete timely, accurate, and thorough documentation within the electronic health record.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
Maintain appropriate clinical records, prescribing documentation, and quality measures.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts.
Organizational Responsibilities

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Participate in staff meetings, educational activities, and competency assessments.
Support organizational goals related to patient satisfaction, quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Working Hours
0800-1700
NO Nights, Weekends or Holidays
Skills
Current Florida APRN License in good standing.
Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License.
National Board Certification as:
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) preferred.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health or psychiatric clinical experience preferred.
Experience in outpatient and inpatient behavioral health settings preferred.
Certifications
Current BLS certification required.
DEA registration and authority to prescribe controlled substances.
