This facility is Eastern Connecticut's leading provider of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with mental illness and substance abuse addictions. The organization offers a comprehensive range of services including inpatient and partial hospital programs, residential treatment, older adult services, clinical day treatment schools, and chemical dependency services through a multi-site network of care.Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - PsychiatryJob Details:
- Provide physical exams and medical consultations for inpatient children, adolescents, adults, and residential teenage girls
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including taking patient histories and performing physical examinations
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and data
- Deliver patient education in a group setting
- Provide quality, holistic care for patients, families, and others in the behavioral health arena
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week, weekdays only
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of CT
- Experience or interest working with behavioral health patients preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a primary care and/or behavioral health psychiatric setting required
- Exceptional training available for both experienced practitioners and recent graduates
