Join a dedicated team at WCS Healthcare Partners, focusing on providing essential mental health care to underserved communities in New York City. Our clinics are strategically located to serve unhoused patient populations across all five boroughs, ensuring access to care for those in need. We are looking for compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join our mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing mental health care to underserved patient populations.
- Conduct mental health assessments at intake sites to determine appropriate shelter placement for patients seeking housing.
- Deliver care to a diverse mix of patients, including those staying in homeless shelters and other high-risk individuals relying on our clinics.
- Work within clinics operating Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekend or late-night shifts required.
- Option to pick up overtime shifts on Saturdays at men's shelters or Sundays at women's shelters, operating from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on those days.
- Accommodate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners who specialize in treating either all ages or adults only.
- Participate in initial discussions to determine the most appropriate clinic site and specific patient needs.
- Provide care at designated shelters for severely mentally ill patients, equipped with the necessary resources for their treatment.
Requirements
- Board Certified / Board Eligible Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Valid New York State license.
- Open to all levels of experience, provided there is demonstrated compassion for the patient population.
