A growing nonprofit organization near Des Moines, Iowa is hiring an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a rare opportunity that combines direct patient care with strategic leadership. This Senior Director role will shape the future of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and families in the region.
Position Highlights
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care planning and crisis support while leading clinical strategy, program development, and service innovation
• Serve on the executive leadership team, designing and implementing evidence-based, trauma-informed care models primarily for adolescent patients
• Anticipated up to 20% direct patient care providing medication management for adolescents in a residential facility
• Up to 5 weeks' vacation and full benefits
• Starting salary of $150,000-$175,000, depending on experience
Qualifications:
• Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• 3+ years leadership or program development and prior management of direct reports preferred
• Experience with youth, families, or high-risk populations preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills
Living in Des Moines, Iowa
