Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Full Time
📍 Louisa, Virginia
UVA Health Medical Associates of Louisa is seeking an experienced and autonomous Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient practice in Louisa, VA. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively within a supportive interdisciplinary team while providing high-quality behavioral health care to the community.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat mental health conditions across outpatient settings
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and evaluations
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Virginia regulations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, nursing staff, and community resources
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities
Support professional practice standards and continuing education initiatives
Qualifications
Active Virginia licensure or eligibility required
Minimum of 2–3 years of psychiatric clinical experience preferred
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Working Hours
Outpatient only
Schedule: 4 ten-hour days, Monday–Friday
Practice hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

COMPENSATION
· During the first two years of employment, the provider will receive a tiered base salary plus a $10,000 guaranteed incentive.
· Following the completion of the two-year guarantee period, compensation will transition to a tiered base salary plus a wRVU-based incentive model.
Base salary is determined by years of APP experience:
· 0–5 years of experience: $105,000 base salary
· More than 5 years up to 10 years of experience: $115,000 base salary
· More than 10 years of experience: $125,000 base salary
