Job Details:

• Position in the Psychiatric Stabilization Unit (PSU), a dedicated psychiatric observation unit
• Provide psychiatric emergent assessments in the Emergency Department
• Determine appropriate disposition for admission to inpatient psychiatric units, PSU, or potential discharge
• Admit patients to the observation unit and manage their care
• Coverage needed for Monday nights (7p-7a) plus intermittent coverage for vacation and sick calls on any shift
• Shifts run 7 days per week, either 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Typical patient volume ranges from 4-8 adult patients
• Patient encounters per shift: 8-10
• BLS certification required
• Start date ASAP for ongoing assignment

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
