URGENT LOCUM TENENS OPPORTUNITY – PEDIATRIC ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (NP/PA)
🌟 Pediatric NP / Specialized Physician Assistant Needed!
Seeking experienced Pediatric Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to support inpatient pediatric coverage across its facilities in Columbia, Orangeburg, and East Cooper, South Carolina.
📅 Coverage Dates: To Be Determined
⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
🏥 Setting: Inpatient Coverage – Level I/II Nursery
👶 Average Daily Census: 1–2 patients
📋 Additional Duties: Pediatric consultations to the ER as requested
KEY CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must be comfortable caring for premature and critically ill newborns, including infants as young as 32 weeks gestation.
Required clinical skills include:
✅ Neonatal resuscitation
✅ CPAP management
✅ Peripheral IV placement
✅ Arterial sticks
✅ Ventilator management
✅ Pulmonary surfactant administration
✅ Umbilical line placement
✅ Catheterization and other procedures for sick newborns
⭐ Circumcision experience is preferred for APP candidates.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active South Carolina license
- Required DHEC credentials
- Current EPIC experience is a MUST
- Strong neonatal and pediatric acute-care experience
- Ability to provide coverage at Columbia, Orangeburg, or East Cooper, as needed
