Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) needed for inpatient pediatric coverage supporting a Level I/II Nursery. This role focuses on newborn and neonatal care, including management of critically ill infants and performing essential neonatal procedures. The provider will also support pediatric consults to the emergency department as needed. This is an urgent coverage opportunity with ongoing shifts anticipated throughout the year.
Job Responsibilities
Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
Manage critically ill newborns in a hospital setting
Perform procedures including CPAP, arterial sticks, IV placement, and ventilator management
Administer pulmonary surfactant and manage neonatal airways
Support pediatric consults to the emergency department
Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospital teams
Qualifications
Strong pediatric and neonatal experience required
Proficient in neonatal procedures and newborn care
Comfortable managing patients as young as 32 weeks gestation
Working Hours
On-call required
Flexible scheduling with additional shifts available throughout the year
