Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

Compensation: $120,000 – $135,000 annually
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a leading interventional pain management practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside Executive Medical Directors in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment focused on improving quality of life for patients with chronic pain.

Key Responsibilities

Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations

Conduct independent follow-up visits in accordance with Incident-to guidelines

Develop and manage patient care plans under physician supervision

Analyze diagnostic test results and determine appropriate follow-up care

Recommend and adjust treatment plans based on patient response

Maintain accurate, real-time documentation in the EMR
-
Provide patient education, counseling, and ongoing care guidance

Support physicians during high-volume clinic days

Assist in medical emergencies, including medication administration and emergency protocol adherence

Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe clinical environment

Meet productivity metrics while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Perform administrative duties as needed, including documentation and log maintenance
Required Qualifications

Active and unrestricted NP or PA license in Virginia and/or Maryland (based on location)

Master’s degree from an accredited program

NCCPA certification (for PAs)

Valid DEA and NPI (or eligibility to obtain)

Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications

Strong clinical judgment and understanding of legal considerations in healthcare

Experience with EMR systems (Centricity or Modernizing Medicine preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting

Experience in pain management, orthopedics, urgent care, or related specialty

Work Environment

Fast-paced outpatient clinical office

Frequent interaction with patients

Regular use of clinical equipment (including autoclaves, C-arms, crash carts, IV materials)

Exposure to standard clinical risks (bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases)

Strict adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
