Facility:
This 127-bed Level III Trauma facility is the largest hospital on the Southern Coast of Oregon with a catchment area of over 320,000 residents. The Cancer Center is affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University and is a member of the OHSU Knight Cancer Network, featuring a new 19-chair infusion room, in-house pharmacy, nurse navigation, and radiation oncology lab.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Advanced Practice Caregiver (NP or PA) in Oncology
Job Details:
• Full-time, day shift position with four ten-hour shifts and no nights or weekends
• Paid call shared equally among providers
• Primarily outpatient care with occasional inpatient consultations
• Work in a collaborative team with currently 1 NP Locum and 2 Oncologists
• Function as a member of the clinical patient care team performing tasks consistent with advanced practice provider training and licensure
• Provide services including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, medical oncology, cancer support services, and clinical trials
• Work with a high caliber, collegial, outstanding nurse infusion team
• Must demonstrate proficiency with EPIC software and various computer programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required
• Must be flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently
• Team-oriented with growth mindset and excellent clinical acumen and interpersonal skills
• AONCP certification (or in process) required for NP candidates
• PA Oncology Subspecialty/Additional Oncology Training highly preferred for PA candidates
• Oregon license (or willingness to obtain) required
• Clean malpractice history/background required
• Experience practicing as an Oncology NP/PA in inpatient and/or outpatient setting preferred
• This is a permanent position requiring residency within the immediate local area
• Relocation may be required
• Accepting Locum to Perm candidates
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
• Average rate: $135,626.50 USD (for full-time 40 hour per week position)
