Rural Health Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and CIMS Network Center committed to accessible, high-quality healthcare, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated clinical team. Our location in Aiken, SC is ideal for young or older families with beautiful weather, an active downtown, and easy access to Augusta, GA and Columbia, SC.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced OB-GYN who is passionate about caring for women and treating their medical needs. As an OB-GYN, you will test, treat, diagnose, and monitor disorders and illnesses related to women’s health and their reproductive systems. You will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat women through their entire pregnancy terms and beyond. This is primarily an outpatient practice but may also involve deliveries or surgeries in the future.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform annual gyn exams that include pap smears, pelvic, and breast exams.
• Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition.
• Counsel patients on safe sex practices and preventative medicine practices.
• Monitor and treat patients during pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal advising up to delivery and postnatal care.
• Order and analyze necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, scans, etc. to effectively diagnose and treat an OB/GYN medical concern.
• Direct, advise, and supervise medical staff including nurses, med techs etc. on proper procedures and protocols.
• Continue personal education on current medical practices and innovations by reading medical journals, attending conferences, etc.
• Rotate as 1st or 2nd call with additional OB providers in the outpatient practice.
Qualifications
* Active South Carolina license (or eligibility to obtain).
• Proficient at patient charting and knowledgeable in relevant charting computer programs
• Current DEA and Basic Life Support Certifications.
• Strong commitment to health equity and community-focused care.
• Able to effectively monitor and manage other medical staff and assistants
• Compassionate and personable with exemplary bedside manner
• Sound judgment and expert decision-making abilities
• Bilingual preferred but not required
