Final titles will depend on the qualifications of the final candidates.)</i></p><p>The University of Missouri’s School of Medicine, Department of Neurology is expanding and searching for a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neurology inpatient services. This is an excellent career opportunity for candidates just starting their careers, as well as experienced candidates to join a thriving academic neurology department.&nbsp;<br>As a Comprehensive Stroke Center and premier referral hub for the surrounding 22 counties and beyond, we offer a rich array of challenging and exciting cases. &nbsp;Working alongside residents and attending physicians, we foster a team-based approach to patient care with thriving clinical and educational opportunities.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Job Details:&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p>• Our team is comprised of 20 neurologists, 14 neuroscientists, and several advanced practice providers<br>&nbsp;</p><p>• Responsibilities:<br>&nbsp;</p><p>o Work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide care to neurological patients in an inpatient setting.<br>o Communicate with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.<br>o Respond quickly and accurately to changes of conditions.<br>o Perform treatments and interventions; conduct teaching and counseling of patients and families; and facilitate clinical research.<br>o Also requires basic computer skills; problem solving, willingness and ability to learn new skills and methods; ability to perform the range of duties in a variety of work settings.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p>• Benefits</p><p><br>o CME Days/ Funding Available<br>o Performance Incentive Structure&nbsp;<br>o Potential of Night Differential Pay Structure<br>o Potential Hiring / Moving Incentive&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p>• As the largest Neurologic Care Team in mid-Missouri, the department's facilities include: &nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p>o A dedicated 28-bed Neurosciences Center with 6 bed EMU&nbsp;<br>o 30-bed Neurosciences ICU&nbsp;<br>o AANEM Lab Accreditation with Exemplary Status&nbsp;<br>o Level IV Epilepsy program&nbsp;<br>o Comprehensive Stroke Center&nbsp;<br>o MDA/ALS clinics&nbsp;<br>o An accredited Sleep Program&nbsp;<br>o First Adult Certified Duchenne Care Center by PPMD. &nbsp;</p></span>
