Bronx, New York, Nephrology Nurse Practitioner Job

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible nurse practitioner

• Must have 6+ months of post-training experience as an NP in nephrology

• Outpatient-only position

• Work collaboratively with nephrologists to evaluate and manage patients with kidney-related conditions

• Monday-Friday, 9a-5p

• Ability to work 3-5 days per week

• Part-time or full-time options available

• Call schedule to be determined

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required

• H-1B visa sponsorship available, if needed

• Conduct consultations, review medical histories, and perform patient assessments

• Evaluate kidney function and develop individualized treatment plans

• Treat and manage kidney-related illnesses and monitor patient progress

• Order and review appropriate diagnostic testing

• Assess the need for dialysis and coordinate recommendations with the nephrology team

• Refer patients for surgical evaluation when indicated

• Prescribe and administer medications within scope of practice

• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Master’s degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program

• Proficiency in nephrology care required

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication

• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to patient care

Organization Information:

• Salary range: $135,000-$150,000

• Listed compensation may include bonuses and incentives
