Job description

• Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner for locum coverage in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Bismarck, North Dakota.
• The Nurse Practitioner must be available for the selected coverage dates and provide advanced neonatal care in a Level III NICU. Candidates must be comfortable performing neonatal procedures, attending high-risk deliveries, and participating in ground and fixed-wing air transports.
• This assignment includes inpatient NICU coverage, neonatal intubation, central line placement, peripheral arterial line placement, high-risk delivery attendance, and ground and air transport coverage.

Locum Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Bismarck ND

Shift: Night shifts, 3:00 PM–7:00 AM (16 hours)
Start Date: December 22, 2026
End Date: June 6, 2027, depending on selected coverage blocks
Position Details: One Nurse Practitioner needed; inpatient Level III NICU coverage
Patient Population: Neonates and newborns requiring intensive care
Setting: Inpatient Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Responsibilities: Provide neonatal intensive care, perform required procedures, attend high-risk deliveries, and participate in ground and fixed-wing air transports
Required Procedures: Neonatal intubation, central line placement, peripheral arterial line placement, and management of high-risk neonatal cases
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Yes
Days Per Month: Varies by assigned coverage block
On-Call/Weekends: Night coverage includes weekend dates; specific call requirements are not listed
