Permanent Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Position Type: Permanent

Shift: Full-time; 20 hours/day of shift coverage; neonatologists provide in-house daytime coverage and home call at night
Position Details: Join an established Level III NICU team providing neonatal care and newborn nursery coverage. The NICU has 16 beds, approximately 320 admissions and 1,900 births annually, with an average daily census of 10.
Patient Population: Neonates and newborns
Setting: Level III NICU and newborn nursery
Responsibilities: Provide neonatal care in the Level III NICU and assist with coverage in the newborn nursery while collaborating with neonatologists and other NNPs.
Support Staff: 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs; neonatologists provide in-house daytime coverage and home call at night
Submission Requirements:
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP); FNP, PNP, and other NP certifications are not accepted
- North Carolina APRN license or willingness to obtain; current NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days
