Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP)
• Start Date: October 2026
• Duration: Up to 12 months
• Schedule: Full-time, rotating days and nights
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,090-$4,380
• Setting: Level III NICU
• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43214 — a welcoming, centrally located area with easy access to city attractions, local neighborhoods, and outdoor spaces
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in neonatology required
• Experience in a Level III NICU setting preferred
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio or eligibility to obtain licensure as needed
• DEA certification required
• Comfort with neonatal procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, thoracentesis, and lumbar punctures (LPs) preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality neonatal care in a busy Level III NICU
• Assess, monitor, and manage newborns with complex medical needs
• Perform and assist with neonatal procedures as clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Manage a patient load of approximately 12-15 patients per shift
• Support a smooth workflow in a collaborative, lower-acuity NICU environment
