Neonatology Opportunity by the Ocean – Panama City, FL 🌴
Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking an experienced, certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide per diem coverage at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital 🏥 in beautiful Panama City, Florida 🌊—a coastal destination known for its turquoise waters, relaxed lifestyle, and family-friendly environment.
🏖️ Position Highlights
- 🏥 Level III NICU (28 beds) with an average daily census of 19
- 👶 ~2,700 deliveries annually
- ⏱️ 24/7 in-house NNP model with strong neonatologist support
- 🕘 24-hour in-house shifts
- 🩺 Shared responsibilities include:
- Rounding and acute NICU care
- Delivery attendance
- Procedures based on experience
- 🤝 Highly collaborative team that values NNP autonomy and clinical judgment
- 🚑 Full subspecialty support plus a dedicated neonatal transport team
📅 Coverage Needs – ASAP
Dates include:
📌 5/27, 5/29, 5/31, 6/2, 6/4, 6/6, 6/8, 6/9, 6/11, 6/13, 6/15–6/19, 6/21, 6/22, 6/24, 6/26, 6/28, 6/30
➡️ Ongoing coverage will be needed beyond these dates
- ⏳ Credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days

No exceptions – all items below must be included:
- ✅ Active Florida state license (IMLC not accepted)
- ✅ Current APRN national specialty certification
- ✅ Clean background (no malpractice or adverse history)
- ✅ Minimum Master’s Degree in Nursing
- ✅ Clinically active within the past 12 months
- ✅ Completed Prescreen Questionnaire
- ✅ CV in MM/YYYY format with all gaps explained
- ✅ Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the past month)
- ✅ CV must include home address, phone number, and email on first page
- ✅ Availability for ASAP dates listed above
