Education Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in supervision and independent decision-making within major nursing areas (Preferred)
Certifications & Licensures
- Nurse Practitioner Certification (NP-C) – Required
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification (NNP) – Required
- American Heart Association Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Department-specific certifications as required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to neonatal patients, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes
- Perform assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning for neonatal conditions
- Demonstrate independent clinical decision-making and leadership in patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Participate in continuous education and professional development
- Attend staff meetings, complete mandatory training, and competency evaluations
