A Hospital, located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide care to preterm and term newborn infants. New candidates will need to come in the day before their first shift for orientation.
NNP preferred; will consider PNP-AC (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care) or PA-C with previous experience with newborn nursery, high risk neonatal delivery, and resuscitation skills
Coverage Needed for call coverage (7a7a) – as soon as credentialed.
March 3-4, 9-10, 15, 23-24, March 29-31,
April 1-3, April 24-25, April 29-30
May 1-3, May 17-20, May 25-26
June 3 4-5, June 14
Details
- Inpatient Only
- 24hr unrestrictive call shifts - call includes nights and weekends
- BLS required from AHA
- NRP required
- Will LT be required to remain on-site while on call? No
- Will the LT be expected to serve as back up in the ER? No
- Will the LT respond to codes? Yes
- ICU/Critical Care Duties: No (more than level1 nursery will be transferred to Maynard's children's hospital)
- Procedures: Intubation; UVC placement; surfactant delivery; arterial puncture; NRP
Total Inpatient census: 3-5 newborns
