Location: Tallahassee, Florida

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our esteemed team at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. With over 30 years of dedicated service, our practice offers a dynamic and collaborative environment committed to providing exceptional neonatal healthcare in one of the state's premier Level-III NICUs.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive, family-centered care to critically ill neonatal patients within our Level-III NICU, which includes 34 beds and an annual delivery volume of approximately 3,500 births.
  • Collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatric intensivists, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical excellence in managing high-risk pregnancies, preterm infants, and critically ill neonates.
  • Participate in the transport team, providing care during interfacility transfers staffed by neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and evidence-based protocols.
  • Engage in shift coverage, consisting of 8-hour and 24-hour shifts, to ensure continuous, around-the-clock neonatal care.

Qualifications:
  • Current, active certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) by a recognized certifying body (Board Certified).
  • Minimum of two years of recent experience as an NNP in a Level-III NICU setting; applications from new graduates will not be considered.
  • Must hold an active Florida license or be eligible for licensure.
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
