Join our growing and compassionate team at IU Health! We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Infectious Disease team at Riley Hospital for Children!

The Ryan White Center is a collaborative, supportive, and engaged group of providers and staff who work hard, putting clinical excellence and the needs of the patient in the forefront. Clinical Services have expended significantly over the last 6 years, with an increased outpatient clinic footprint, additional inpatient services (Primary ID service, general consult service, and Immunocompromised ID consult service), and several providers who serve in key hospital leadership roles and on cross-Riley Children's teams and initiatives.

Position Details:

  • Full Time, Day Shift
    • Monday-Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm
    • APP will share a rotation of first call for inpatient service and general Pediatric Infectious Disease consults with fellows and physician attendings
  • 85% inpatient, 15% outpatient
  • Join a team of 16 physicians and 1 other APP
    • There will be collaboration and professional development opportunities for APPs across other subspecialties

Key Responsibilities:

  • APP will provide general Infectious Disease inpatient service support in collaboration with the attending physician and the rounding team (including med student, resident, and fellow trainees).
  • This will include fielding and billing for both new consults and daily care for ongoing consults (providing greater consult coverage), as well as outpatient clinic support for new and hospital-follow-up appointments.
  • Provider will support better continuity of care for our Riley patients needing Peds-ID consultation and also provide for increased coverage to see all requested consults.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree required
  • ACNP, FNP, NNP, PNP or PA certification required
  • Infectious Disease experience is a plus
  • Open to motivated new graduates
  • Ideal candidates are have a specific interest in Infectious Disease, has strong communication skills, and is a team player.
