Job description
I want to clarify the provider will be back up for Portland call but that will be telehealth, no expectation for them to travel to Portland*
Looking for an NP that can provide onsite coverage at the Providence Hospice location in Medford full time. They will be back up for Portland. We will need coverage Monday-Friday (8am-5pm with a one hour unpaid lunch that they can take when they see fit). They will participate in symptom management call on weekdays (5pm-8am), which is beeper. There is a potential that they will cover weekend call which would be from 8am-8am.
Call schedule will be determined once confirmed. It may not be consecutive days in a row but the site is open to having a provider take call in a row.
They will average 4 nights of weeknight call and 1 weekend a month.
NOTE: Provider will be required to have BOTH an ACTIVE WA LICENSE AND WA DEA as well as an OR LICENSE AND OR DEA as they may see WA patients via telehealth during call coverage.
Please include on bid:
Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours per day
There is no expectation of OT occurring as after 5pm hits the on call provider handles all patient care
Responsibilities include:
- Admissions and recertification face to face visits
- They will be primary for symptom management for patients including medication prescribing
- Partner with RN's for collaboration on patient needs
Number of face to face patients will vary but on the high end will be 15 patients a month. If a nurse or physician needs help with system management they could be asked to go out to see that patient or do telehealth visits as well.
