Nurse Practitioner – Palliative Care (Onslow County, NC)
Overview:
A leading nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to expand and lead palliative care services in Onslow County, NC. This role offers a unique blend of clinical care and program development, with no weekends or on-call requirements.
Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

No weekends or on-call
Compensation:
-
Salary range: $105,000 – $148,000 (based on experience)
Responsibilities:

Provide palliative care to patients across multiple settings (homes, assisted living, skilled nursing).

Manage a caseload of approximately 20+ visits per week.

Lead weekly outpatient palliative care clinics.

Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and end-of-life care.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and community healthcare providers.

Participate in program development, networking, and community education.
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).

Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.

Minimum 5 years of general medical experience; 4–5 years as an NP.

Palliative care experience required.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:

Certification in Hospice/Palliative Care.

Home-based or hospital-based patient care experience.

Proven leadership and program development background.
