Nurse Practitioner – Palliative Care (Onslow County, NC)

Overview:
A leading nonprofit healthcare organization is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to expand and lead palliative care services in Onslow County, NC. This role offers a unique blend of clinical care and program development, with no weekends or on-call requirements.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• No weekends or on-call

Compensation:

• Salary range: $105,000 – $148,000 (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide palliative care to patients across multiple settings (homes, assisted living, skilled nursing).

• Manage a caseload of approximately 20+ visits per week.

• Lead weekly outpatient palliative care clinics.

• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and end-of-life care.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams and community healthcare providers.

• Participate in program development, networking, and community education.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC).

• Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.

• Minimum 5 years of general medical experience; 4–5 years as an NP.

• Palliative care experience required.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

• Certification in Hospice/Palliative Care.

• Home-based or hospital-based patient care experience.

• Proven leadership and program development background.
