Tacoma, WA
Tacoma offers a vibrant urban setting with stunning views of Mount Rainier and Puget Sound. The city boasts a thriving arts scene, beautiful waterfront areas, and excellent access to outdoor recreation while being conveniently located near Seattle and the Sea-Tac International Airport.
Facility:
This is a well-established Level 2 trauma center that provides comprehensive hematology and oncology services to the community. The facility features a supportive, well-rounded staff including MAs and RNs, and utilizes Epic/Beacon electronic medical record system to deliver high-quality patient care.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (NP) - Nurse Practitioner - Hematology Oncology, Physician Assistant - Hematology Oncology
Job Details:
• Monday through Friday schedule with shifts from 0800-1630
• Patient load of approximately 15 encounters per shift
• Practice consists of 60% oncology and 40% hematology
• Focus on solid tumors with possible lymphoma cases (no leukemia)
• No procedures or BMT (bone marrow transplant) required
• Epic/Beacon experience is highly preferred
• Must have current ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications
• Washington state license required (or IMLC eligibility)
• Board certification eligible minimum requirement
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days (expedited privileges possible with clean history)
• Position starts ASAP (March is realistic with credentialing timeline)
• Ongoing assignment with long-term potential
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
