We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our collaborative healthcare team providing high-quality, patient-centered care in post-acute care settings throughout Burlington, North Carolina.
This unique 7 days on / 7 days off schedule offers exceptional work-life balance while providing the stability, compensation, and benefits of a full-time position. The role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving patient outcomes through proactive care management, clinical assessment, and coordinated treatment planning.
Schedule Highlights:
Work 7 consecutive days, followed by 7 consecutive days off
Approximately 26 weeks off annually
Day shift schedule with flexible hours
Approximately 6 hours per day spent providing care in facilities

Job Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Management:
Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in post-acute care facilities.
Perform patient rounds, evaluate medical conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Assess changes in patient status and coordinate appropriate interventions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, procedures, and clinical evaluations as needed.
Support improved patient outcomes through proactive care management.
Care Coordination & Documentation:
Collaborate with physicians, nursing teams, Directors of Nursing (DONs), and facility leadership to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Manage medical records, billing documentation, and compliance requirements.
Utilize available dictation tools to support efficient documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina.
Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Active DEA certification.
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Preferred Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred.
New graduate Nurse Practitioners are encouraged to apply.
