Locum Nurse Practitioner Gastroenterology
Position Type: Locum

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; 30-minute lunch required
Position Details: Full-time Gastroenterology APP coverage in an acute care hospital setting. Patient ratio approximately 1:14-18. No call or floating.
Patient Population: Adults; acutely ill patients with a wide variety of medical problems
Setting: Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice in an acute care hospital
Responsibilities: Evaluate and manage medical problems; provide patient and family education; document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, referrals, and consultations; manage coding and billing documentation; refer complex cases to collaborating physicians; prescribe and monitor medications; order and monitor emergency interventions.
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: 1 provider, 1 anesthesia provider in each procedure, 1 NP, and 1 LPN
Days Per Month: Monday - Friday
On-Call/Weekends: No call; no float
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Active New York license
- AHA BLS or RQI certification
