Job Responsibilities
• Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions and preventive screenings
• Perform outpatient consultations and assist with inpatient care
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment outcomes
• Educate patients on GI health, procedures, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and detailed EMR documentation
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and care teams
Qualifications
• DEA certification required
• Minimum 2–3 years of gastroenterology experience
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
• Preferred: Experience with IBD, liver disease, or GI motility disorders
• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish) and hospital privileges (or willingness to obtain)
