Job Description

Build Your Expertise in Hepatology. Make a Difference in Complex Liver Care.

An established specialty medical practice is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its growing outpatient hepatology team in the Tucson Metro Area.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Nurse Practitioners and recent graduates interested in developing a career in gastroenterology and hepatology.

The practice provides comprehensive outpatient care for patients with fatty liver disease, advanced liver disease, liver failure, and post-transplant care needs.

Unlike many specialty positions requiring extensive prior hepatology experience, this opportunity offers structured training, physician mentorship, and ongoing clinical education for qualified candidates willing to develop expertise in liver medicine.

The incoming provider will work alongside experienced physicians and clinical professionals while building specialty knowledge and contributing to patient education, continuity of care, and clinical research activities.

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Direct GI or hepatology experience is preferred but not mandatory.

The Opportunity

  • Full-time outpatient Nurse Practitioner position.

  • Established hepatology and liver disease practice.

  • New graduates and experienced NPs welcome.

  • Structured specialty training and physician mentorship.

  • Approximately 16–20 new and established patients daily.

  • New-patient appointments scheduled for approximately 60 minutes.

  • Follow-up appointments scheduled for approximately 30 minutes.

  • Existing patient population and established clinical workflows.

  • Medical assistant and front-office support.

  • Exposure to advanced liver disease and post-transplant patient management.

  • Opportunity to participate in clinical research activities.

  • Regular satellite clinic assignments throughout the region.
