Job Overview

CVS MinuteClinic is seeking experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) to provide high-quality, evidence-based primary and family healthcare in Providence, Rhode Island. Providers will work collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patient health conditions while promoting preventive care and positive health outcomes.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of recent primary care, family medicine, or urgent care experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, routine examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and preventive healthcare needs.
• Provide patient education on healthy lifestyles, wellness, and disease prevention.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and complete follow-up activities.
• Support clinic operations, including opening and closing, inventory, insurance verification, payment collection, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Collaborate with the clinical care team to improve patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Rhode Island NP license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care.
• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to practice autonomously and work effectively within a clinical care team.

Work Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break from 1:00–2:00 PM.
• Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• Sunday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Weekend and possible holiday rotations are required, typically three out of every six weekends.
• Floating to other clinics may be required, including Cranston, North Smithfield, Woonsocket, and East Greenwich.
• An on-call rotation may be required.
