Are you an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner passionate about primary care, preventive medicine, and improving patient outcomes? Join the CVS MinuteClinic team and deliver evidence-based care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
We are seeking a qualified, motivated Nurse Practitioner with recent primary care or urgent care experience who can independently assess, diagnose, and manage common health conditions while promoting wellness and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary and family healthcare services using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and manage chronic health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, provide health counseling, and determine appropriate patient dispositions.
- Promote preventive care, wellness screenings, healthy lifestyle choices, and chronic disease management.
- Coordinate care with the clinical team to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic medical documentation.
- Manage patient appointments, follow-ups, insurance verification, and payment collection.
- Support clinic opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and a clean, safe clinical environment.
- Float between assigned MinuteClinic locations as required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current national board certification as an FNP through AANP or ANCC.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent NP experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to practice autonomously, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing clinical needs.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if required.
- DEA registration may be required during onboarding.
Schedule & Work Requirements
- Clinic hours:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Minimum commitment of 30 hours per week.
- Full-time contract assignment with 880 total hours.
- Weekend rotation: Three out of every six weekends, with possible holiday rotations.
- Travel between Wilmington, Acton, Ashland, and Sudbury clinics may be required.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
