📌 Job Details

• Position: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

• Location: Barrington, Illinois (IL)

• Facility: MinuteClinic – CVS Health

• Schedule: 180 hours over 6 weeks

• Workdays: Typically 2–3 days per week, including every other weekend

• Work Environment: Onsite, patient-facing role

• Start Type: Individual start

• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: May include rotating weekends and holidays

• On-Call: May be required

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions.

• Conduct routine examinations, health screenings, and diagnostic testing.

• Counsel patients on healthy lifestyle choices, preventive care, and chronic disease management.

• Develop and coordinate comprehensive patient care plans with other healthcare professionals.

• Support patient follow-ups and promote positive health outcomes.

• Manage clinic operations, including opening and closing, inventory, appointment handling, insurance verification, and payment collection.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional clinical environment.

• Encourage patients to actively participate in their healthcare and overall well-being.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care.

• Master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

• Active, unrestricted NP license in the state of employment, in good standing.

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

• Strong knowledge of chronic disease management and quality measurement.

• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and collaborate within a clinical care team.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if required.
