Immediate Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Sacramento, CA

Setting: FQHC / Community Health Outpatient Clinic

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide immediate and same-day care in a community health setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in urgent care, immediate care, FQHC, or outpatient clinics and be comfortable treating a variety of acute illnesses and minor injuries.

Responsibilities

· Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses, minor injuries, and same-day concerns

· Perform physical exams and obtain medical histories

· Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests

· Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans

· Perform minor office-based procedures as appropriate

· Identify and refer patients requiring higher levels of care

· Provide patient education and follow-up instructions

· Maintain accurate clinical documentation

· Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

· Provide culturally sensitive care to underserved and diverse populations

Qualifications

· Master's degree or Doctorate from an accredited NP or PA program

· Active and unrestricted California NP or PA license

· Current board certification

· Current BLS and DEA

· 1-2 years of experience in urgent care, immediate care, FQHC, community health, or outpatient setting

· Experience treating acute/same-day patients

· Experience working with underserved populations

· Bilingual skills preferred, especially Spanish, Russian, Farsi, or Pashto/Pushto
