Position Overview
Seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) licensed in Ohio with at least 1 year of primary-care NP experience to provide on-site medical care to the male inmate population at a correctional facility.
• Conduct physical exams, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe medications and administer treatments within scope of practice.
• Order and review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results.
• Evaluate and coordinate specialty referrals.
• Provide routine, emergency, and infirmary patient care.
• Perform minor procedures as training and competency allow.
• Document assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care according to ODRC standards.
• Participate in medical quality oversight and collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer.
• Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Minimum 1 year of NP experience in primary care.
• Master’s degree.
• Current healthcare-professional-level CPR/BLS certification.
