Job description
Locum Primary Care NP opportunity in Alaska, providing family medicine, preventive care, chronic disease management, and limited pediatric acute care for approximately 10–15 patients per day & a flexible weekday/Saturday schedule. This is a 4-6 month assignment with potential extension.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage preventive care, annual physicals, chronic conditions, and acute illnesses.
- Conduct in-person and occasional telehealth visits, including patient follow-up and lab communication.
- Complete timely documentation in Athenahealth and collaborate with the integrated care team
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Alaska license and DEA registration.
- Comfortable treating adults and limited pediatric acute-care patients.
- Experience with preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, telehealth, and electronic medical records.
Working Hours
Skills
- Ability to manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, preventive care, and limited pediatric cases.
- Comfortable with telehealth, EMRs/Athenahealth, and timely documentation.
