Job description
• Provide overnight medical care to an adult correctional population.
• Assess newly incarcerated individuals and address acute and chronic medical needs.
• Support detox treatment and manage urgent and emergent medical concerns.
• Work independently overnight with nursing support and telephone physician backup.
• Assess newly incarcerated individuals and address acute and chronic medical needs.

Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Supervise initiation of detox treatment with substance use specialist nurses.
• Evaluate urgent and emergent medical issues.
• Provide appropriate treatment and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license required.
• Full-time commitment required.
• Previous night-shift and emergency medicine experience strongly preferred.
• Corrections experience is not required.
• Must meet credentialing requirements.
Working Hours
• 80 hours every 2 weeks.
• Thursday–Saturday: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• Every other Wednesday: 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.
• No call.
• Overtime after 80 hours every 2 weeks.
