A healthcare organization providing comprehensive medical services is seeking a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) to join its adult healthcare team in the San Diego Metro Area.
This PRN opportunity offers the chance to provide high-quality primary care services while working alongside physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in a structured clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and develop treatment plans
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Provide medication management and prescribe treatments according to applicable regulations
Review and interpret laboratory and diagnostic results
Participate in chronic care management and population health initiatives
Coordinate specialty referrals and continuity of care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and healthcare leadership
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner License
Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (FNP-BC)
Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
Current CPR certification
Experience utilizing electronic health records (EHR)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
Experience managing adult patients
Experience with chronic disease management
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Adaptability in structured healthcare environments
