Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive medical care and health maintenance for an inpatient psychiatric population. This role focuses strictly on medical care and physical health assessments, not psychiatric therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Medical Care: Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, medical admissions, and health maintenance for inpatient psychiatric patients.
- Treatment Planning: Formulate and prescribe medical treatment plans as an active member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications
Candidates must possess and list all of the following credentials on their resume:
- Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) License (Issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing in the Adult Health category)
- Registered Nurse (RN) License
- ANCC or AANP National Certification
- New Jersey CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) License
- Federal DEA Registration
- CPR Certification
Preferred Skills & Requirements
- Strong clinical experience in Adult Health.
- Flexibility: Availability to work weekend overtime as required by the department.
- Background Screening: Selected candidates must undergo a department-run Background Video/Fingerprint verification.
- Note: Fingerprinting is scheduled by HR at a candidate cost of $40.00
