Position Overview

MinuteClinic is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to join our clinical care team in Chattanooga, TN.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, chronic condition management, health counseling, and patient follow-up. The role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated clinical care team while practicing autonomously.

Candidates must have prior primary care or urgent care experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based primary and family care to patients.

• Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, routine examinations, and treatments.

• Manage acute and chronic health conditions.

• Provide health counseling, wellness services, screenings, and preventive care.

• Perform diagnostic testing and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

• Develop and manage comprehensive patient care plans.

• Encourage patients to actively participate in their health and well-being.

• Handle patient appointments and follow-up.

• Perform administrative duties, including inventory, insurance verification, payment collection, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.

• Work independently while collaborating with the clinical care team.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.

• Current national board certification.

• Active NP license in Tennessee.

• Minimum 1 year of recent primary care, family medicine, or urgent care experience as a Nurse Practitioner.

• Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).

• NPI required.

• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to practice autonomously and work without direct supervision.

• Proficiency with electronic medical systems and technology.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if required.

• DEA registration may be required during onboarding.

Schedule

The clinic operates during the following hours:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM

• Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

• Sunday: 9:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Up to 40 hours per week

• Weekend and holiday rotations may be required.

Important Information

• This is an in-person, patient-facing position.

• All MinuteClinic positions are considered safety-sensitive.

• Occasional travel beyond the assigned location may be required for float coverage.

• Prior primary care or urgent care experience is mandatory.
