UVA Health Virtual Care Clinic - Nurse Practitioner (Autonomous License-Virginia)

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (autonomous license) to deliver high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and post-acute care facilities. This role offers autonomy, collaborative practice, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across multiple care settings
Perform and document medical histories, physical exams, and clinical evaluations
Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Virginia regulations
Perform procedures within scope of practice and credentialing
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans
Coordinate care, including referrals to specialists and follow-up services
Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions when needed
Maintain accurate documentation, coding (CPT/ICD-10), and compliance with policies

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff and trainees
Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and committee activities

Professional Development

Engage in continuing education, conferences, and training opportunities
Contribute to teaching students, residents, and fellow providers

COMPENSATION
· During the first two years of employment, the provider will receive a tiered base salary plus a $10,000 guaranteed incentive.
· Following the completion of the two-year guarantee period, compensation will transition to a tiered base salary plus a wRVU-based incentive model.
Base salary is determined by years of APP experience:
· 0–5 years of experience: $105,000 base salary
· More than 5 years up to 10 years of experience: $115,000 base salary
More than 10 years of experience: $125,000 base salary
