Docstar is looking for a Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a contract in Alaska.
Start Date: May 3
Length of Assignment: 6 Months - flexible schedule – future/ongoing dates will be available
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8A–5P + rotating after-hours and weekend call shared among 3 providers
Credentialing: 2–3 weeks (may be expedited)
Patient Volume: 8–10 patients per day; low volume but high acuity, must be able to see all ages and varied cases including trauma
Procedures: Bread-and-butter family medicine in clinic; weekend call may include trauma cases requiring hands-on experience
Setting: Health Center
EMR: Cerner
Licence Needed: AK (must have active license)
Certifications: DEA, BLS, ACLS, ATLS (PALS preferred)
Details:
Rural Alaska opportunity in a small, close-knit community (~600 population) serving approximately 3,000–4,000 patients annually. This role requires a highly independent NP comfortable managing a wide range of cases across all age groups, including trauma during on-call coverage. Support staff includes RNs, MAs, EMTs, and paramedics. No village travel required.
