Nurse Practitioner (Adult or Family)
Location: Mahwah, NJ 07430.
Schedule: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Employment Type: Temporary | Full-Time and Part-Time (3–4 days/week available)
Assignment Duration: 3+ Months
Schedule & Coverage Needs
• Clinic hours: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Full-time candidates welcome
• Part-time candidates needed for 3–4 days per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in a college health/ambulatory setting
• Perform patient assessments, physical exams, and obtain complete medical histories
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions within NP scope of practice
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with New Jersey regulations
• Deliver preventive care services, health screenings, and wellness education
• Address episodic and urgent care needs during clinic hours
• Provide follow-up care and coordinate referrals to specialty providers as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and Valley Health clinical teams
• Adhere to Valley Health policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Support continuity of care during the transition of the Ramapo College wing to Valley Health
Required Qualifications
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
• Current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner certification (Adult or Family only)
• Active malpractice insurance
• Eligible for New Jersey prescriptive authority
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
