Facility:
This hospice facility is part of a well-respected healthcare system that provides compassionate end-of-life care services to the community. The facility focuses on patient comfort and dignity, offering comprehensive palliative care services with a dedicated interdisciplinary team approach.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care
Job Details:
• Full-time onsite coverage at the hospice location in Medford, serving as backup for Portland • Monday-Friday schedule, 8am-5pm with one hour unpaid lunch • Participate in symptom management call on weekdays (5pm-8am) via beeper • Potential weekend call coverage (8am-8am) • Average 4 nights of weeknight call and 1 weekend per month • MUST have BOTH an ACTIVE WA LICENSE AND WA DEA as well as an OR LICENSE AND OR DEA (for telehealth with WA patients) • Guaranteed 8 hours per day with no expectation of overtime • Conduct admissions and recertification face-to-face visits • Serve as primary provider for symptom management including medication prescribing • Partner with RNs for collaboration on patient needs • Handle approximately 15 face-to-face patients per month maximum • Provide telehealth visits when needed for symptom management • BLS certification required • Board certification required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
